Match balls are made to a regulation weight and size with a full-grain leather cover, a cushioned cork and rubber core and a raised, double-stitched seam for the traditional feel and durability teams expect on game day.
Practice balls use a hard-wearing synthetic cover over the same style of core, built to survive high-volume batting practice at a lower cost per ball.
